Abstract

This work addresses management control in Public Administration as an essential mechanism to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency in the management of state resources. Given the growing citizen demand for accountability, the fundamental components of control systems are analyzed, including their classifications, effectiveness characteristics, and specialized tools such as the Balanced Scorecard, the MECIP 2015 Internal Control System, the PEFA Matrix, and MESICIC. The objective is to offer a comprehensive vision of the mechanisms that allow public institutions to evaluate their performance, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to improve state management.
